My latest album of String Quartet recordings, " Elegantia String Quartets 2
", is now available for licensing
from the Roba Production Music Library.
This album is for those occasions when, for example, you want an underscore that gives the impression of Mozart’s style and era, without the distraction of it being a piece everybody knows and which would draw the ear away from whatever else is going on.
Or perhaps you want to give a sympathetically sorrowful feel without the distraction of a melody.
There’s something there for a range of background uses.
I’ve covered a good range of emotions too, using jaunty pizzicato, dark sombre chords (with more edit points than you can shake a baton at) and many other techniques that remind me why I like working with a live string quartet so much.
And why I was persuaded to write another album along similar lines to my pleasingly successful “Elegantia” album of seven years ago.
Seven years!? Crikey, where did that go!? I hope you find it useful.
